Honestly I think you may be seeing a few things you don't like at Lunasia, and letting that cloud your judgment of how many other options you do have there.Ī lot of the top staples of dim sum are also pretty accessible and not crazy, so I would really recommend you just get those at Lunasia to really experience what dim sum is about.

Lunasia also has a bunch of pork, chicken, and beef options that Din Tai Fung does not have. A lot of them are just smaller variations on the same things, and also a lot of them are also things that you could get at Lunasia. My sister then recommended Din Tai Fung which has more pork based options. Lunasia in particular even has a bunch of Chinese American stuff like orange chicken, though that isn't dim sum at all. I'm Cantonese and I eat dim sum all the time and there are tons of weird things in dim sum I never eat. The menus are quite big and varied, though, so you still have a lot of stuff available to you even if you rule out everything exotic. From Taipei to Los Angeles, the esteemed Taiwanese dumpling.
